Martha Maria Morrison, daughter of Charles H. Morrison Sr. & Isabella Dunn Morrison




This is my husbands great Grandma. My husbands family never met her except once, his father met her and this is when the pictures were taken.

This my grandma Roberta Evans (Watkins)Sorensen who is sitting on Great Grandma Dunn's lap (Christina Dunn / The mother of Isabella Dunn). She was living with Aunt Bell (Isabella Quarnberg Morrison). Isabella Quarnberg Morrison's mother Maggie is who is standing in the photo. The baby is Eddie Morrison, Isabelle Quarnberg and Charles H. Morrison Jr. child, that Maggie is holding. I think this was taken in the late 1920s.

Dorothy Ileen Morrison Carroll 1930 ~ 2008 Our loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away on Mother's Day, Sunday, May 11, 2008, surrounded by her family following surgery.Ileen was born December 28, 1930 in Salt Lake City, Utah, a daughter of Joseph Smith Morrison and Marie Allenbach Morrison. She was a sole survivor as her parents and two sisters preceded her in death following a tragic motor vehicle accident in 1948. Many difficulties followed Ileen throughout her life. In spite of this, she had many accomplishments. She married her sweetheart, Dean Dorian Carroll on June 6, 1952 in the Salt Lake Temple. They were blessed with 10 children and a great posterity. Ileen was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in numerous callings including Primary President, Relief Society President, Blazer Leader and Family History Center Director with her husband for over 10 years. She had many talents and enjoyed handicrafts.

Marvin Junior Morrison 1925 ~ 2006 Marvin Junior Morrison, 81, passed away peacefully in Sandy, Utah on May 4, 2006. Born April 14, 1925 to Charles H. and Isabella Quarnberg Morrison in Scipio, Utah. Graduated from Millard High School. Served in World War II in the South Pacific and Panama. Attended business college in Salt Lake City. Married Verda Ruth Tanner, later divorced. Married Thelma Kierstead in 1976, later solemnized in the Jordan River Temple in 1990. Marvin and Thelma served as ordinance workers at the Jordan River Temple, which they thoroughly enjoyed. He worked on the Church Welfare Farm for years. He retired from the Jordan School District in 1987. Survived by wife, Thelma; children, Marvetta King, Sandra (Blaine) Green, Joseph (Becki) Morrison; stepchildren, Lorie Myers, Shelene (Tracy) Orton, Marin (Margo) Gogan and Troy (Dana) Gogan; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a sister, Karen. Preceded in death by brothers, Thomas E., Glenn F. and Charles Arnell. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 8, 2006, at 1 p.m. at the Park Ward, 1050 E. Galena, Sandy. Friends may call Sunday 6-8 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, and Monday 12-12:45 p.m. at the church. Interment, Lake Hills Memorial Park.

Isabella Quarnberg Morrison, age 88, died November 3, 1990. Born August 3, 1901 in Scipio, Utah to Edmund and Maggie Dunn Quarnberg. Married Charles Henry Morrison, July 19, 1922 in Provo, Utah; marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on November 2, 1933. He died April 22, 1957. She was a member of the LDS Church and worked for many years in the Primary and as a visiting teacher. Survivors: children, Ed and wife, Lorraine, Murray; Marvin and wife, Thelma, Sandy; Glenn and wife, Afton, West Valley City; Karen, Murray; eight grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; preceded in death by a son, Arnell, two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services Saturday, 11 a.m., Murray 21st Ward, 6100 South Main. Friends may call Friday, 6-8 p.m. at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State and Saturday, one hour prior at the Church. Interment: Scipio City Cemetery.
