William Garth Singleton, age 75, died October 11, 1994 in a Salt Lake
hospital. Born January 10, 1919 in Eureka, Utah to Williams and Margaret Morrison Singleton. Married Ramona Lefler on August 2, 1941 in Evanston, Wyoming. Marriage later solemnized on April 15, 1943 in the Salt Lake Temple. He was a member of the LDS Church. Veteran of World War II and retired from Utah Power and Light Company.Survived by: Wife of Salt Lake City; two sons, Merlin G. (Phyllis), Bluffdale, Utah and Paul Ross (Peggy), Salt Lake City, Utah; 11 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Vilo Barrett, Salt Lake; Lois Haskell and Iris Crook, both of Payson, Utah; preceded in death by a great-grandson, father, mother, one sister and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held at the Cottonwood 6th Ward Chapel, 4930 So. West Moor Road (approx. 1725 East) at 12 noon Friday, where friends may call from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Mountain View Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements: Crandall Funeral Home, Kamas, Utah.

Page 4-THE HERALD, Provo, Utah Sunday, March 5,1972 Obituaries Harris Yorgason PAYSON - Harris L. Yorgason, 62, Payson, died Friday in University Hospital, Salt Lake City. He was born April 18, 1903 in Moroni, a son of Orson L. and Hannah Anderson Yorgason. He received his education in the Moroni schools and married Francis Coates on Sept. 2,1930 in Manti. She died May 29,1937. He married Odessia Singleton on May 12,1948 in Evanston, Wyo., and she died on Feb. 20, 1971. For 17 years he was employed by the Nevada Northern Railroad in Ely, Nev. But in 1948 he moved to Payson and he has been employed by Geneva Steel Plant in the transportation department. He was a member of the LDS Church and a member of the Steel Workers Union. Surviving are a son and a daughter, Robert Yorgason of Salt Lake City and Mrs. James M. (Floy Kaye) O'Brian of Pacific Grove, Calif.; three grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs. Zada Green, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Helen Sanderson, Farmington, and Mrs. Lois Johnson, Taylorsville. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. in the Walker Funeral Home, 587 South 1st West Payson. Officiating will be Bishop Elaine Montague of the Payson 5th Ward. Friends may call Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday prior to the services. Burial will be in Payson City Cemetery.

Born and raised in Sanpete county, where he married his first wife Frances Marion Coates on September 2, 1930. He was 21 and his wife was 16.

Moved to Ely, Nevada.

Father of Ralph Harry Yorgason (1931-1957).

His wife Frances died at home in 1937, after giving birth to a son.

By 1940, Harris was re-married to Beulah (maiden name unknown) Evans, who was the mother of two: Donald Evans (born 1934) and Sally May Evans (born 1937).

The marriage ended, either through death or divorce, after the birth of a daughter in 1945.

On May 12, 1948, he was married a third time, in Evanston, Wyoming to Odessia Singleton.

In June 1952, he became a grandfather at the birth of Ralph Michael Yorgason. In January 1954, Ralph died at age 1, when he was anesthetized for minor surgery and proved to be fatally allergic to the anesthesia.

In April 1957, his son Ralph Harry Yorgason died by his own hand, when faced with a return to prison after an arrest for car theft.

Harris died one year and two weeks after the death of his wife Odessia.
